KLABAUTAMANN To Enter Studio In September
August 24, 2008German folk/black metal duo KLABAUTAMANN will enter the studio in September to record the follow-up to 2005's "Der Ort". "Once again Patrick Schroeder from CENTAURUS-A (on Listenable Records) will enrich the music with his masterful drumming," stated KLABAUTAMANN's Florian Toyka (guitar, bass, drums). "Also we will be using our own studio again to produce the record, which has become one of KLABAUTAMANN's trademarks. No outside influence regarding music, sound, artwork, etc. The band will be taking a break from all live-activities for the duration of the recording to focus 100% on the making of the record. This third record will be the biggest step forward for the band as KLABAUTAMANN has sort of arrived where we wanted to be. We've never been more satisfied with the music, which was written during an intense period of two weeks last April in a house in a small village."
The band's 2003 album, "Our Journey through the Woods", has just been reissued via Vendlus Records.
According to KLABAUTAMANN's official bio, the band's music "can be roughly characterized as atmospheric metal with many acoustic guitars. There's a good deal of black metal influence in the music, but many progressive parts are also involved. Although there are no limits to the style the music will always be nature-related in some way."
